Membership in Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section is available to all lawyers licensed to practice law in Texas and (on a non-voting basis) to all law students. Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section's fiscal year runs from June 1 to May 31.

How to Join

To join the Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section:

(1) send a check for $35 (payable to the State Bar of Texas) to Kathy Casarez, State Bar of Texas, P.O. Box 12487, Austin, TX 78711-2487. (Kathy's phone number is 800-204-2222, ext. 1425, and her email is kcasarez@texasbar.com.); or

(2) Visit the State Bar of Texas online to join online using a credit card.

For faster access to the Members-Only areas of the website after joining the section, also send an email to webmaster@fsr.com, our Website Administrator, advising that you have sent your check to Kathy Casarez and stating your bar card number. We can then add your bar card number to the database and email you confirmation that you can log on as a new member.

The Importance of Membership Renewal

Each year after August 1 we will update our database of members from the State Bar's database. Those who were previously members of Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section who have not paid dues for the new year (starting the previous June 1) will, through the database update, automatically be deleted from the members database. To be added back again, simply pay your dues to Kathy Casarez, contact Mary Kay Braley, and log back in as a new member.
